Forsyth Tech Starts Inaugural Volleyball Season<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

  • Forsyth Tech\u2019s inaugural game took place August 23, with the Trailblazers winning 3-0 against Carolina University\u2019s JV team. This section speaks on the excitement as well as the anxiety that built up for about a year before the first game and the teamwork that led them to a win. Pictures of the game are included in the section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

    Volleyball – What’s Going On?<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

    • For those who are not familiar with the rules of volleyball, this section goes over the basics and what one needs to know in order to fully enjoy the game without feeling confused.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

      Early College Students Take a Stand<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

        \n
      • Early college students came together on August 29 wearing red and carrying handmade signs in protest of the recent WSFCS lay-offs. Gathered in the Forsyth Tech courtyard, they spoke on how the district\u2019s decision personally affected them, those they know and general feelings on the issue. Pictures of the protest are included in the section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

        Classroom Rescue<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

          \n
        • Kayla Priddy, a current Forsyth Tech student, alongside her sister Kim Priddy have started a crowdfunding organization. Local businesses and residents partner with the organization, Classroom Rescue, in order to provide WSFCS students with needed materials and services. Recent budget cuts have encouraged the founders to work as hard as possible to help schools in need so that no students lack what they need in order to learn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

          Green Space Courtyard is Now Open to all Trailblazers!<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

          • The seven month long courtyard project has been completed. Students now have access to a wide green space with benches to relax on and walkways that make getting from one point to another a lot more efficient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n

            Reading + Ramen<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n

              \n
            • Madison Johnson, a former early college student, is the owner of a small business known as Reading+Ramen. What started as a class project, continued on as a business Johnson aims to continue running. By buying books (either second-hand or at a discounted price) and putting them together with a variety of ramen flavors and brands, she sells $15 packages to those looking to eat a comforting meal while reading something new.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n
