Herbert White came to Forsyth Tech to speak about his project <em>After Lockdown: Life<\/em> <em>for the Formerly Incarcerated<\/em>, a Pulitzer Center supported piece. During the presentation he answered questions related to both his project and general questions related to the journalism field. The section also includes a link to the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Herbert White, Q&amp;A<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section includes an interview taken before Herbert White\u2019s presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Club Feature, Creative Writing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section includes details regarding the Creative Writing Club at Forsyth Tech. A picture and description of the club\u2019s Halloween party can be seen. Hajir Abd (the club president) speaks on the club\u2019s purpose, perks and provides tips for writers to avoid burnout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meet Quan, Forsyth Tech PD&#8217;s New K-9 Unit<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quan, Forsyth Tech\u2019s Police Department\u2019s new K-9 unit is now operational. The section speaks on what Forsyth Tech\u2019s PD plans for the 2-year-old black lab going forward.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haunted Hoops at West Campus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section includes photos from Forsyth Tech\u2019s Haunted Hoops event that took place on October 30. The section mainly focuses on the Anime Club. The club president Tyberius Greenwood speaks on his experience at the event, what the Anime Club is all about and encourages students to join.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DREAM Club&#8217;s Sensory Popup<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section includes photos from Forsyth Tech\u2019s Disability Rights Education, Activism, and Mentoring Club\u2019s (DREAM club for short) Quiet Space &#8211; Sensory Pop-Up event. The event included several activities for participants to engage with in a calm environment. Students were able to use the space and activities to unwind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Get Off Your Phone!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section encourages everyone to spend less time looking at their screens and to spend more time engaging with those around them. The section includes ways to implement a social media detox, a practice that can help decrease the negative effects of a high screen time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Peanut Butter Falcon Movie Event<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section speaks of the Forsyth Tech\u2019s Disability Rights Education, Activism, and Mentoring Club\u2019s (DREAM club for short) movie event. The movie watched was <em>The Peanut Butter Falcon,<\/em> a movie that \u201csupports the social model of disability, emphasizing that it is societal barriers, rather than individual impairments, that most restrict people with disabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pet Feature: Kel &amp; Sunny<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This section includes photos of Forsyth Tech student Allie Hall\u2019s guinea pigs, Sunny and Kel.
