They work closely with medical dosimetrists, radiation oncologists, and radiation medical physicists. Those in this profession work in a fast-paced environment, stand for most of the day, and move\/lift patients to and from treatment rooms.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply, the application will open on January 12, 2026, and the application deadline will be March 13, 2026. The coursework will train students in the application of prescribed doses of ionizing radiation for the treatment of disease. The Radiation Therapy Technology Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jrcert.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.jrcert.org<\/a>) or (<a href=\"mailto:mail@jrcert.org\">mail@jrcert.org<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Advanced placement into the Radiation Therapy Technology Program is available to graduates of radiography programs accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. an addition to and not a substitution of other Forsyth Tech student policies. To comply with program policies, state, and local regulations for health care providers, and in the interest of your own personal safety, the safety of your patients, and the potential liability to both the college and clinical agency, there are many compliance requirements that must be met in order to enter the clinical education setting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">These policies may be increased, without prior notice, for any additional requirements brought forth by the clinical affiliates. Students may be denied access to clinical facilities based on health screening results, drug screening results, or results which appear on a criminal background check. The student will be responsible for obtaining documents demonstrating that they have met all compliance requirements. If this is not possible or attainable by the required due date(s), the student will be unable to attend the clinical education portion of the program. The program will not find an alternative clinical site placement because students must be able to attend ALL clinical sites for the duration of the program. After acceptance into the program, the student will receive information during orientation on how to complete the criminal background check and drug screen. To participate in clinical placement, all students must use the approved online compliance system to complete the criminal background check and drug screen.
