Tasks include oxygen therapy, tracheostomy care, sterile dressing changes, IV fluid assistive activities, ostomy care, gastrostomy feedings\/nasogastric feedings, and catheterizations. Classroom, laboratory and clinical learning experiences are included. Upon successful completion of the course and skill\/competency evaluation, the student is eligible to apply for listing as a Nurse Aide II by the NC Board of Nursing Nurse Aide Registry and will be considered as being a Certified Nursing Assistant II (CNA II).<\/p>\n<p class=\"fy-accordion-section__description\"><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Students must initiate a criminal background check and drug screening before registering for the Nursing Assistant II course. If you have attended FTCC for our NAI course within the past year, and already have a COMPLIO account that is still up to date with the information below, you will ONLY need to transfer your account to the NAII program. This information can be used to register for a current NAII course.  A direct helpline and video tutorials are available on the site. <\/p>\n<p>You will need: <\/p>\n<p>Current NAI Listing without adverse findings. <\/p>\n<p>Current CPR Certification <\/p>\n<p>One form of identification must be a Driver\u2019s License (not expired) -or- official government-issued signature bearing photo ID.  <\/p>\n<p>Social Security Card (first and last names must match above ID exactly) <\/p>\n<p>Copy of High School Diploma\/GED -or- copy of unofficial college transcript. <\/p>\n<p>Proof of the following immunizations and vaccinations: <\/p>\n<p>Tuberculin (TB) Test\u2013 Negative results of 2 TB skin tests within the last 12 months (must be administered at least 7 days apart) <\/p>\n<p>\u2013OR\u2013 Negative results of\u202f1 serum blood test (QuantiFERON, T. Spot (IGRA)) blood draw within the last 12 months <\/p>\n<p>\u2013OR\u2013 Negative chest x-ray within the past 5 years for students who have a history of positive skin tests with written evaluation by healthcare provider for signs and symptoms within the last 12 months if x-ray is over\u202f1 year old <\/p>\n<p>Annual Flu Shot\u2013 for all classes between October and March <\/p>\n<p>COVID Vaccine\u2013 Moderna or Pfizer vaccine (total of 2 doses of original series or 1 dose Bivalent) -OR- Johnson\/Johnson vaccine\u202f1 dose. <\/p>\n<p>When you have gathered all the above documents, set up an account with COMPLIO under the Nursing Assistant II Program using this link http:\/\/forsythtechcompliance.com\/ .  Choose the NEW STUDENT BUNDLE. Once your account is activated, the background check will be initiated, and the drug screen will be scheduled. Emphasis is placed on infection control, including sterile technique.
